Immeasurable Heaven by Adam Tedesco

almost every world has one of these
lost marbles, quarter inch cable holes
but all the others have a better way
of counting their grains of sand
and most things are not different
but black ribbon candy roads home
straight as gym ropes, geraniums
you fall in love with everyone there
where everyone smells of hash and roses
a wild thorned maze inside my eyes
we surrender there our thrones
thrown up hands closing winds
in suspended disbelief
in the logical conclusion of now
after the satellite scopes are downed
when all the helicopters cease to sing
you’ll walk before a tower
stretching forever forward
it will drown you in a cool dark shape

there will be no one left to see this happen
